Assumption Has Some Big Goals This Year According to the Telegram
WORCESTER — Assumption will be without two-time Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year Derrick Mann this season, but Mann, who graduated in May, left behind a lasting impression on the 2015 Greyhounds.
“Watching him play for four years, watching his technique and all the little things he does, I think as a team we picked that up,” fifth-year senior defensive lineman and captain Kevin Ihlefeld said after a recent practice. “I think we can take his intensity and his work ethic into every workout, every run, every practice and use that to prepare for our goals.”
Coming off a 7-4 season, AC’s first seven-win season in 20 years, the Greyhounds have grand goals for this year.
